How is the Wi-Fi connection/signal?

We have Charter Spectrum high speed internet here; however, we are still located in the woods. While you should be able to stream television, music, etc., we do not recommend relying on the connection for important business such as zoom meetings and the like. If you should need a stronger connection during your stay, we recommend visiting the local coffee shop a mile down the road, Red Door Café.

How private is everything?

We have three rental units on our property - The Burrow, The Den, and The Hive. Our Burrow and Den units are located in the same structure and can connect to each other, but are separated by a door that locks from both sides to ensure privacy. The Hive is our geodesic dome, and therefore our most private unit. Your innkeepers also live on the property full time, although in a separate house. We only try to pop by to welcome you and are available to you as needed. The hot tub, fire pit, and garden are all community spaces that are available to all of our guests staying on our property.

Can I bring my dog?

As much as we love all things with tails, we are a pet free establishment. For the safety of the pets and guests and also as a precautionary measure for guests who may have pet related health issues, we ask that the pets and emotional support animals stay home or at a nearby boarding facility. This applies to all sizes, breeds, and behaviors.

Can I bring my infant?

Due to the nature of how our units are set up, we can not accept infants at this time. Infants refer to any child ages 2 and under.

Can I have visitors at my rental?

The grounds and common space amenities are strictly for our registered guests only. We ask that if you have friends or family not staying here, you meet up with them outside of the property. This is the only way that we can ensure the safety of all of our guests as well as maintain the peaceful atmosphere. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Are there discounts?

We are not currently offering discounts or flexible rates for longer stays. We rent each of our units out separately, so there is no discounted rate for renting multiple units at the same time. Each unit comes with its own set of fees and taxes.

Do you allow one night stays?

Our minimum stay is two nights and can not make exceptions for one night stays at this time.

Do you have recommendations of things to do?

Absolutely! Upon booking, you will receive a link to our Touch Stay digital guidebook. This guidebook is packed full of all our top recommendations for eating, drinking, hiking, shopping, and more!

How do breakfasts work?

For our Burrow and Den units only, we offer Wake & Bake breakfasts. We prepare your breakfast for the following day and place it in your fridge of your unit. Your breakfast will either be fully prepared if it is to be served room temperature or cold, and our warm dishes just need to be popped in your oven to warm up when you're ready. To make it a little easier on us, all of our guests staying at Little Red Homestead receive the same breakfast, so we pick your breakfasts for you. However, if there are any dietary restrictions, let us know and we will certainly do our best to accommodate. Check out our Nibbles page to see some of the dishes that you may be receiving!

Due to The Hive not having a full kitchen like our other units, our Hive guests will enjoy a fully stocked mini fridge to last the duration of their stay, filled with an assortment of continental breakfast goodies.

How do I add on a package?

You can add on a package through the Touch Stay digital guidebook link you were sent in your welcome message upon booking! If you are not a guest of ours and would like to add a package onto the stay of a loved one, please reach out to us at info@littleredhomestead.com and we will work with you.

Can I check-in early/check-out late?

Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate early check-in and late check-out. We allow same day check-in/check out, leaving us only 5 hours to reset the unit and get everything clean and ready for you. If you should arrive to Lake Ann earlier than expected, we recommend checking out Lake Ann Brewery a mile down the road while you wait.

Can I fit extra guests?

For our larger groups, we recommend renting multiple units as we are unable to negotiate on maximum guest occupancy in each unit. The Burrow and The Den are able to connect to create one large unit that hosts 8 guests in the same space. By renting all three of our units, you will have the entire property and amenities to yourself while hosting up to 10 guests total.

What is your extra guest fee about?

In our unit, the Den, there is an extra guest fee for every guest after 4 people, including children of all ages. The fee is $60/day/extra guest. This helps us cover any additional supplies, extra food for breakfasts/snacks, and additional cleaning. The fee is automatically included in your final total when you input the number of guests in your party. The fee will be applied to your stay if your guest count on your reservation is inaccurate.

What is the cost for my dates?

To get an accurate idea of cost, plug your information into the booking page as if you were going to book. Be sure to include your requested dates and accurate number of guests as these factors will affect the rate. Before confirming your reservation, it will give you a total cost including all fees.

Can I host my wedding/event here?

Unfortunately we’re not set up as a venue space and are unable to host events, weddings, or elopements. We are also unable to accommodate guests from your event coming back to the property for further celebration; the property is reserved for registered guests only at all times.

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a strict cancellation policy. Cancellations are free and totally refundable for the first 48 hours after booking as long as you are cancelling at least 14 days before check in. After that, guests may cancel up to 7 days before check in and get a 50% refund of the nightly rate and cleaning fee. Cancellations made within 1 week prior to your arrival date are non-refundable.
